J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm will complete an office and amenity build-out for University Center at 525 S. State Street in Chicago. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, University Center is designed for those seeking a convenient and comfortable city living experience. Blending the convenience of Chicago life with the comforts of home, The UC has established a one-of-a-kind community in downtown Chicago by combining living, learning and a collegial spirit.

This project is a comprehensive renovation and expansion of key facilities within the UC. The scope includes enhancements to the existing Bike Room, Board Room, and Multi-Purpose Rooms, alongside the construction of new office and break room spaces. A new student lounge and amenities area will also be added and the fitness center and music studio will be relocated. Specialty ceiling design elements will also be incorporated throughout. Coordination with University IT, Security, and A/V teams will be essential during construction. The phased renovation will take place in occupied areas with J.C. Anderson ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing University operations and their student residents.

The construction team for J.C. Anderson will be led by Project Executive Jon Zawiski, Assistant Project Manager Desiree Kupchek, and Superintendent Mike Diduch. The property is managed by PeakMade. SCB will provide architectural services and Project Management Services will be provided by Wainwright Construction Services.
