J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm has completed an office and amenity build-out for University Center at 525 S. State Street in Chicago. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, University Center is designed for those seeking a convenient and comfortable city living experience. Blending the convenience of Chicago life with the comforts of home, The UC has established a one-of-a-kind community in downtown Chicago by combining living, learning and a collegial spirit.

This project included a comprehensive renovation and expansion of key facilities within the UC. Enhancements were made to the existing Bike Room, Board Room, Multi-Purpose Rooms, offices and break room. A new student lounge and amenities area was also added while the fitness center and music studio were relocated. Specialty ceiling design elements were incorporated throughout.

“This was a phased renovation in occupied spaces so coordination with the University was essential,” said Project Executive Jon Zawiski. “The project team completed the work with minimal disruption to ongoing University operations and the space turned out great!”

The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by Project Executive Jon Zawiski, Assistant Project Manager Desiree Kupchek, and Superintendent Mike Diduch. The property is managed by PeakMade. SCB provided architectural services and Project Management Services were provided by Wainwright Construction Services.
