J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to complete Jarvis Cyber Labs for DePaul University’s College of Computing and Digital Media at 243 S. Wabash Ave in Chicago. Expanding and relocating its College of CDM classrooms and offices, this project will enhance the educational environment with cutting-edge technology and improved learning spaces. J.C. Anderson began construction in December 2024 and expects to be completed by September 2025. The project will transform the space with restroom renovations, the creation of new lab spaces, classrooms, offices, and student lounges. A state-of-the-art presentation classroom will be established, along with advanced audio/visual and laboratory spaces tailored to the university’s technology-driven curriculum. These specialized space will include Robotics / AI Lab, IoT Lab, Prototype Maker Lab, Security Hacking Lab, Networking & Security Lab and Research Labs. The renovation will require significant audio/visual coordination and scope management. Key challenges include managing lead times, adapting to the constraints of a historic building, and maintaining budget constraints in the face of potential cost increases.
The construction team for J.C. Anderson is being led by Senior Project Manager Larry Regovic and Superintendent Glenn Panfil. DePaul University’s is providing in-house property management and project management. The architectural design is being handled by Vasilko Architects.
