J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm has completed an office build-out at Presidents Plaza in Chicago for APCIA, a Chicago-based non-profit trade association focused exclusively on the insurance industry.

The new space at 8700 W. Bryn Mawr boasts a combination of drywall ceilings, acoustical ceilings with grid intersecting downlights, and Armstrong wood slat specialty ceilings. The reception area has been transformed into a bright and inviting space, thanks to a custom specialty fixture that wraps around the skylight. This feature highlights the natural lighting, making a lasting impression on all who enter. The large conference room has the capability of opening up into two separate conference rooms using a Moderco Operable partition. This innovative design allows for the seamless hosting of large-sized meetings while maintaining the flexibility to host smaller, more private gatherings. The Townhall is a hub of activity, thoughtfully designed to accommodate the needs of staff. It features ample seating, creating a welcoming environment for employees to come together. The high-end millwork, complete with a stunning waterfall edge design at the island, elevates the space, setting it apart from the ordinary.

“From prints, to walls, to final finishes, APCIA’s project team worked towards the end goal together,” said Project Executive Josh Smith. “Each week’s significant progress wouldn’t have been achieved without questions answered quickly by Partners by Design and Kent Consulting Engineers and most importantly, decisions made by APCIA. We thank all team members for coming together weekly and making building progress happen.”

The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by President John Angelovich, Project Executive Josh Smith and Superintendent Glenn Panfil. Partners by Design provided architectural services.
