J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm has completed a renovation project for FitzGerald Associates Architects’ new Chicago location at 200 W. Adams Street. The company is relocating from 912 W. Lake Street, also in Chicago.

Founded in 1919, FitzGerald Associates Architects is a firm offering architecture, interior design, and sustainability services. J.C. Anderson was hired to complete an open layout with the addition of new offices, conference rooms, lounge areas, collaboration and informal meeting spaces as well as phone rooms and a kitchen/café to the firm’s new space on the 21st floor of 200 W. Adams. The new space features specialty floor-to-ceiling glass fronts, a large custom millwork community table for collaboration, a specialty floating ceiling, a custom sliding ladder for the library and accent paint. FitzGerald will seek to obtain LEED and WELL Building certifications for its new office space.

“From pre-construction to construction, FitzGerald and J.C. Anderson worked together to visually engineer the office space to maintain design intent, schedule, and budget,” said J.C. Anderson Project Manager Kayla McKinney. “Today’s economy has its unforeseen challenges, but with our team’s communication and experience we were able to stay on schedule.”

The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by Erlich, Project Manager Kayla McKinney and Superintendent Mark Zawadka. FitzGerald provided the architectural and engineering design services and Colliers Real Estate Brokerage project management services.
