Fernando Chavez has joined JCA as our 2022 Summer Intern. JCA’s 12-week internship program exposes candidates to three main areas of operations: Estimating, Field Operations and Project Management. Fernando will be starting with our Estimating team, working on subcontractor bid leveling and completing quantitative take-offs on drawings using JCA’s OST software. “Fernando is eager to learn and continues to ask questions, which is so important for his growth, says Greg Garland, Chief Estimator. “He is enthusiastic about learning all that he can about the construction process.
“Fernando was very excited to join our team this summer and we were equally excited to welcome him,” says Joe Maguire, Vice President JCA. “Fernando came to us from the Illinois State Career Fair, although he actually attends Illinois Wesleyan. That shows you his initiative and drive to find the right work experiences to set him up for success after graduation. He is highly motivated and we are excited to show him what commercial interiors is all about.”
