THE
WORK
MULTI-LEVEL OFFICE
This complete demo spanned five full floors, plus a separate annex that now serves as a testing facility. The lower four floors house private offices, workstations, conference rooms, and open break rooms, all designed for collaboration and efficiency. The top floor—which boasts a 360 degree view of the Chicago skyline—features the reception area, complete with high ceilings, triangular windows, custom millwork, and angular elements throughout. It also includes acoustic baffles, custom AV, and a structural steel and glass NanaWall for privacy as needed—a detail that required cutting a hole in the flooring, as neither the passenger elevator nor the freight elevator could accommodate the need. The annex’s epoxy floor, industrial lighting, and custom storage solutions shape a space ideal for testing new products.
THE
RESULT
Our team worked diligently to ensure all COVID-19 safety guidelines were enforced and followed throughout the duration of this project. After recommending alternates and performing value engineering in preconstruction, we worked with the client, Cushman & Wakefield, Whitney Architects, and project engineer Salas O’Brien to address all challenges and complete a new space—on time and on budget—that truly serves its users.
