J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected to complete a build-out for the interactive art museum Color Factory’s first-ever Illinois location. This one-of-a-kind experience uses the combined power of art and color to inspire joy and is opening its largest museum yet in Willis Tower this June.

After a highly successful launch in 2017 with a temporary exhibit in San Francisco, Color Factory has since grown into a series of permanent locations in New York and Houston, with its newest location opening in Chicago this year. Within each Color Factory location, visitors are treated to over a dozen multi-sensory art installations and immersive rooms inspired by the colors, flavors, and personality of the city around it. Color Factory collaborates closely with artists, creatives, art institutions, and nonprofits to tell compelling stories that make life just a little more joyful. Their Chicago location boasts a custom color palette for the Windy City, an impressive roster of local, national, and international artists, as well as partnerships with local institutions and businesses.

J.C. Anderson was selected for preconstruction services and to complete the 24,000 square foot build-out for Color Factory’s new space. The construction team for J.C. Anderson is led by Vice President John Angelovich and Superintendent Darrel Panfil. Partners by Design is providing the architectural services, ESD is providing MEP Engineering, and Shorecrest Project Management Group is providing project management services.
