J.C. Anderson is pleased to announce that the firm has completed a renovation project for German engineering and technology company Bosch at One Tower Lane (Oakbrook Terrace Tower) in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Robert Bosch LLC selected J.C. Anderson to complete a 92,840 square foot build-out to the top five floors of the 31-story office building as well as a 15,883 square foot build-out to a separate commercial asset on the property called “the annex”. Bosch is relocating approximately 350 employees from its Automotive Aftermarket Division at 2800 S. 25th Avenue in Broadview, Illinois to its new space at One Tower Lane. Construction included the addition of conference/training rooms, private offices, as well as open office and seating areas. The top floor, which boasts a 360-degree view of the Chicago skyline, now features the reception area, complete with high ceilings, triangular windows, custom millwork and angular elements throughout. J.C. Anderson also completed a build-out to the annex, which will serve as a testing/lab facility for Bosch.

“The existing building mechanicals and roof access catwalk systems above the top floor presented unique challenges,” said J.C. Anderson Project Executive Seth Erlich. “In the end we were able to achieve the design vision of high splayed ceilings to accent the large triangular windows on all four sides and deliver a spectacular showpiece for Bosch’s reception floor.”

Erlich added, “Our team worked diligently to ensure all COVID-19 safety guidelines were enforced and followed throughout the duration of this project. We worked with the client, Cushman & Wakefield, Whitney Architects, and project engineer Salas O’Brien to address all challenges and complete a new space—on time and on budget—that truly serves our client.”

The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by Erlich, Project Manager Andrew Mott and Superintendents Bob Hickey and Bill Dennison. Whitney provided the architectural services and Cushman & Wakefield provided the project management services.
