JCA Estimator Ed Bowen Retires

This month we wish a member of our family, Ed Bowen, well as he rides off into the sunset in his RV and begins a long and healthy retirement. Ed has been with JCA for 35 years, first as a carpenter in the field, then running work as a foreman prior to transitioning to the office in 1993 as JCA’s first officially titled Estimator.

Ed has been very important in helping JCA grow immensely, moving from our small Villa Park location to our current office in Elmhurst, estimating for some of our biggest clients such as ComEd and DePaul University, amongst many others. Ed has grown up with JCA and has been our longest standing company softball captain and pitcher, he will be greatly missed!

Ed’s a traveler – most recently on bird watching trips to South Africa, Ethiopia and Madagascar. Unfortunately, COVID has put a slight damper on his travel endeavors, but his new 32-foot camper is going to take him domestically in the meantime – heading south for the winter – hopefully Texas and Mississippi to do some camping and fishing with his wife Susan and kids Amber, Ginny, April and Holly and 8.5 grandkids! When travel is safe again, Panama is next on his list.

We wish Ed all the best in his retirement. We’re all rooting for an end to this virus so that we can celebrate Ed properly and he can get back to travelling the world!

Good luck Ed and thank you for 35 years of dedicated service to J.C. Anderson!
