This month we wish a longstanding member of our team well as he begins retirement. Chris Bowen has served JCA for over 30 years in various capacities – Superintendent, General Superintendent and most recently Safety Director. Coming out of his initial retirement as our General Superintendent in 2013, Chris accepted the position of Safety Director and single handedly built and structured our safety program into one of the finest in the industry.
Jim Schumacher, Chairman of JCA commented that as an apprentice carpenter, he worked for Chris who was a Superintendent for a large drywall company at the time. After working his way up at J.C. Anderson, Jim said he set his sights on Chris joining the JCA team.
True to his team spirit, Chris has offered to be available to support JCA’s transition to our new Safety Director Mike Dressler. “Chris has made exceptional contributions to JCA over his 30 years and will be missed,” says Steve Boulukos, COO. “From your JCA family, we wish you a long, healthy and relaxing retirement. You have certainly earned it.”
