ELMHURST, IL – Jim Schumacher, chairman and co-owner of J.C. Anderson, Inc. is pleased to announce that Michael Yazbec will serve as president for the interior construction firm. Yazbec was previously executive vice president for the Chicago area based company.
“Mike is a well-respected, skilled and talented leader with a vast amount of experience in the construction industry,” said Schumacher. “He will lend energetic and innovative leadership to the firm; and I have every confidence that he will move us toward new, exciting ventures.”
Yazbec, with more than 25 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry, joined J.C. Anderson, Inc. in 2011 from Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) where he served as the Managing Director of Midwest Construction Services. Yazbec also served in management rolls with Charles Hall Construction, LLC and Turner Construction in Chicago. He holds a master’s degree in Architecture with a concentration in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

J.C. Anderson, Inc. also recently promoted the firm’s Thomas Bean to chief operating officer. Bean, formerly president of construction operations has more than 40 years of experience in the industry. He joined J.C. Anderson, Inc. in 2004 and has led construction operations for the past nine years. Bean was previously a division manager for Turner Construction’s Special Projects Division.
