ELMHURST, IL – J.C. Anderson, Inc. is pleased to announce that the firm has recently been selected to complete a 415,000 square foot restacking and renovation on behalf of Commonwealth Edison (NYSE: EXC) in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
Commonwealth Edison (Com Ed) is a unit of Chicago-based Exelon Corporation (NYSE: EXC). Com Ed and its nearly 5,600 employees are responsible for maintaining more than 90,000 miles of power lines that make up the electric transmission and distribution systems in Northern Illinois. Com Ed also provides customer operations for more than 3.8 million customers across the region, or 70 percent of the state’s population.
Located within buildings Two and Three of the Lincoln Center near Butterfield Road in the western suburb, Com Ed has selected J.C. Anderson, Inc. to complete a multi-phased renovation and restacking of approximately 415,000 square feet on 16 floors. The project includes relocating call centers, disaster recovery centers, general office space, conference rooms and support spaces. Five floors will encompass full renovations and the remaining floors will feature new carpeting and paint.
“This project will be completed under LEED CI guidelines,” said Project Executive Steve Boulukos. “Our goal and expectation is that a Silver certification will be obtained.”
Boulukos will lead the construction team for J.C. Anderson, Inc. Construction Management will be provided by Jones Lang LaSalle’s Jim Plummer and Jerry Riordan. HOK is providing the architectural services. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2012.
